Now, normally I'm not a gloating kind of person. It's so very unattractive and makes the gloatee want to smack the gloater - so I shall try and keep this calm. AAR just released their Top Ten Favourite Heroes, Heroines and Couples of all time. I therefore direct you to the results.

Now, I apologize in advance and please - in order to avoid the following unattractiveness all Sebastian lovers may want to stop reading. But I simply must do this

LMFAO!!!!! OK, just WHO is #1????
OH. HELLS. NO.
Outlander is #2??!?!?!?!??! GAG!!!!!!
Sebastian [from Lord of Scoundrels] should have been number 1 or two. I can't believe that stoopid guy from that stoopid book is #2. I have NO clue about #1.
Derek and Sebastian should have been 1 and 2.
OMG go Loretta!!! She has TWO up there! Love her!!!
OK, so sorry for highjacking your blog. LOL
LOL Mailyn - that's fine. I was excited to see Lord of Scoundrels score so well too!! And #1 would be Roarke from the In Death books. I don't know if you read them or not but he is a worthy #1 choice! He's pretty yummers to me! (and obviously to many others! And Eve (also from the In Death books) is one of my all time favourite heroies too. And together they burn up the pages sometimes so I'm don't have problems at all with them ranking #1 in all 3 categories.
That list is ridiculous. But at least Derek is on it, right Kristie? LOL
I think it's a typo. I mean, anyone can confuse D-E-R-E-K with S-E-B-A-S-T-I-A-N ~~
Can't they?
Go Sebastian! He was so amazing! And I hate to say it, but he far outdid Derek for me...
Lori: *g* now which Sebastian are we talking about? Devil in Winter Sebastian or Lord of Scoundrels Sebastian?
Devonna: LOL. Tis a bit of a stretch there.
Ames: Right! Although I haven't read Pride and Prejudice, I did read part of or all the other top 10's and while many of them weren't my picks, I can see many of them winning. I voted and I think we can all guess who my #1 hero was *g*, but some of the others I picked were up there - like all the Lord of Scoundrels & In Death winners.
Good God woman! Will you stop at nothing to see Derek win something?! LOL
Here's my question: Just how many times did you vote for Derek in this AAR contest?? Hmmmmmm?? Be honest!
Although I have not read any of the other books, except Pride & Prejudice, but I GUARANTEE had DIW come out earlier, it would def. be on the list! Next year baby! :P
I voted for Derek & Sarah and Desdemona & Harry but those were the only two I got up there.
Day-um, them Ward fangirls are busy! I loved Zsadist but that book didn't even come out 6 weeks ago!!
I knew there was going to be a dance.
I'm thinking that Eve and Roarke and the Outlander couple should be Oprah-ed. You know how she asked to be removed from the TV awards ballots because really, she would win all the time. Anyways, I'm ready to see these two couple retire already.
I did vote for Zsadist as one of my favorite heroes also. I managed to keep from voting for every Anne Stuart hero possible ;)
Grumpy Cindy ;)
Kristie, I don't know if you've noticed, but the names of the commenters, as well as the other text written in yellow isn't visible to the naked eye. Just thought I'd let you know. *g*
So I guess I'm one of the minority who actually likes Outlander and Jamie? Though, with that said, I don't think it belongs on a romance list.
I have Lord of Scoundrels and all it's subsequent books in a box in the garage, yet to be unpacked. I love Loretta Chase so I'm kind of waiting to savor this series.
Sheesh! First Dreaming of You and now Lord of Scoundrels. I really need to get a move on!
Jen
Jodie LOL - nope! And I think you could only vote once in that one. That's all I did anyway.
Devon: yea - I was surprised to see him so high up there so soon - but then she does have a rather shall we say *enthusiastic* fan base
Cindy:NO!!!! You can't strike Eve and Roarke out. As huge fans of theirs, I can see them coming up so high year after year. And Laurie has now seen the light on them too :). Now I don't get the Jamie and Clare love - I've read a couple of the Outlander books and while I enjoyed them,I didn't feel the Jamie love like so many others do. But then again, hard as it is to believe, not everyone feels the Derek love that I do *chuckle*
Karen: I've heard that. And since I have absolutely NO IDEA how to go about fixing it, I have an S.O.S. out to fix it.
Jenster: Not Lord of Scoundrels either?????? Oh I am so going to be keeping my eye on you!!
Yeah. I guess I was too busy reading all those huge "Outlander" tomes.
Jen
eh... we all know who the real winner is *g*
I am so gonna give in one day and read those Eve and Roarke books. Outlander, not so much.
