The Great North and South Crusade

Being computerless put our time line back and at the risk of annoying anonymous further, who can just read the title and move on, and because there are still very new Crusaders and still possibly more still waiting to see it and possibly be converted, we here at Crusader headquarters have decided to extend The Crusade. (and now I'm out of breath typing that long sentence!)

Originally it was going to conclude at end of January, but now we are going to continue for just a while longer, until the end of February - yes anonymous, a whole other month although February is a short one.
You may remember at the first we had a couple of contests.

Well - we are extending one and finishing the other.

The first contest is a give-a-way of three copies of the book. I have a list of Crusaders on the side, but I really don't know who all is interested in reading the book. So, if you've seen the series and want to read the book, leave a comment that you are in and you will be entered. With three books to give away, Kate will be drawing a name, Sula will be drawing a name and I will be drawing a name. Good luck to all who are interested.

The second contest will be extended. This one is for a copy of the DVD and to be eligible for that one, it takes a bit of writing. Kate and I have have bit the bullet and watch for our efforts to get that ball rolling. Kate has hers done and I'm almost done mine!

For further details, just go to the beginning of The Crusade.

In addition, we have a couple more special things lined up - one we will post tomorrow. So stay tuned.

(I know I went overboard with pictures - but it's so hard to choose just a couple.)

*****ETA******

In case there is any confusion - it's just the contest for the books that is ending. We will make the draw on Sunday. The contest for the DVD - where you get to test your writing skills has been extended. We haven't discussed an end date for that yet so there is lots of time.

I wouldn't think you went overboard with the pictures at all! *G*
Aw my infamous N&S scene I came up with! Heh heh.

I don't think there's such a thing as too many pictures :-) And as far as I'm concerned, you can continue with the crusade indefinitely ~ there's always new bloggers coming online and they might miss it!

I'm good with the movie, so no need to enter me to read the book. I had no idea I was getting entered into anything, you guys are just such good pimps, I watched the movie so I could see what the hoopla was about.

Now I *totally* get it! :o)

I'd like to read the book.

And I know I know. I STILL haven't written a post declaring me a part of the Crusade. I'm the red-headed step child of this whole N&S bit. But I do love it! Promise!

I'm not entering the book contest here, because I have yet to see the series **winces, ducks** But I am thinking about checking it out. In fact, I have taken the step to wonder whether they carry it as my local Blockbuster. If only just because I feel left out. And those photos are very intriguing.

Book please :)

And thanks for posting "Fist of Doom." Love that shot.

Carolyn Jean - you are now on the list! You better get out to Blockbuster STAT!!

I was trying to come up with an epilogue and I didn't realize it would end today. I'm not a writer though so the thoughts keep going all wiggy.

I have to admit Kristie that I'm now fantasing about Armitage as Guy (from Robin Hood) and the woman who would love him. Yeah. That'd be me. He'd be better for it. I do like my men with a bit of bite ;)

Season 2 or RH starts here on Sunday. I have warned my son that I WILL be having control of the TV on Sunday nights from now on, and if he doesn't like it...tough! He better get used to it!

I am definitely going to read the book, but I bought it a couple of weeks ago so no need to enter me in the contest!

No, no Cindy - the epilogue contest is still running for a chance to win the DVD!!! We haven't set an end date for that because I haven't been able to chat with Sula and Kate due to computer errors. But there is still time - I haven't completed mine yet either.
It's for the books that everyone interested should just leave a comment as to whether they are in or out. So unless you've changed your mind *g* I'm thinking you're out - since I'd be willing to bet there are no sex scenes as this was written in the 1800's by the wife of a parson.

Bridget Locke said...

Aw, no sex? How depressing! LOL!

Don't enter me, I've got copies of both.

Spent today fighting with amazon.com. None of the stores in Portland have any of the new books I want (especially the Last Twilight by Marjorie M. Liu), so I ordered on amazon to make sure I got copies. Well, the stupid thing didn't send out my copy as expected. So, now I'm trying to ge that, plus deal with other stuff. I hate days like this. *sigh*

Maybe I should go home, watch N&S and make myself feel better. :D

Got the DVD and the book, so ignore me. Just loving the ongoing crusade and hope you keep it up.

Ooh, you did not go overboard at all. (and anonymous can go choke)

Please put me in the contest for the book. :P

I'm in for the book. I've got the DVD. Go Kristie!

North and South blows, including Richard, so who wants the prizes?

PSYCH!!!!

Bridget Locke said...

LOL! Katie(babs) I almost swallowed my tongue when I saw that. LOL! You're bad. he-he

Dev: *laughing* I think it's getting harder and harder to miss it - but new Crusaders - there can never be enough!!

MaryKate: I'm so glad you to *get* it. 'tis a wonderous thing to see so many enjoy it!

Mollie: You're in - but we will be watching for that post *wink*

Megan: Didn't I say you'd love it? I knew you would. And you really should try writing for the DVD. I think everyone has a different idea as to what could happen next and it would be so fun to read the different ideas!!

Carolyn Jean - unlike my last project, this time I'm not haunting people to watch it *g*. I'm just trying to get the word out and let bloggers/reader decide on their own. Mind you it's tempting to do what I did last time - but with so many who've seen it and loved it - I think that's working just fine :)

Carrie: Isn't that a great picture? You just hurt so bad for him don't you? Knowing the love of his life will be leaving.
I also love the one where she is sleeping.

Marg: You too!!! I was saying to Katie tonight that it just seems wrong somehow that we - us Canadians - a proud member of the British Commonwealth don't get it when the US - who went to war against Britain to gain their independence can get BBC America. And now you Aussie's who, from the rumours I've heard, aren't overly fond of the The Crown. It's Wrong - just Wrong!

Cindy: LOL - I fantasize him as everyone :)

Bridget: RICHard always makes a bad day seem better somehow.
Ames: I have a lot more pics too - but I saved some :)

Stacey: I'll probably keep it up as long as I'm totally taken with the movie *g* (and I think that might be some time to come)

Ames:Well - I might have - just a teeny, tiny bit - but then again there really never can be enough can there?

Rosie: Any you HD trumps my surround sound too!

Bridget: I knew Katie was just pulling our collective legs.

There are a growing number of Republicans who would rather cut some of the apron strings to the Motherland, but we are still very proud of being in the Commonwealth.

Actually we don't get any BBC channels either - it's just that our public broadcaster shows a lot of BBC stuff so we are getting it that way!

Kristie (J) said...

Marg: Ahhh - it must be the rowdy factor that speaks the loudest then. And you don't get them either but the US does? That just isn't right is it?

Georgie Lee: They are rather grand aren't they *chuckle* cause what would a crusade be without a reward? Have you had a chance to see the second part yet?
