Noooooo!! It's supposed to rain all day

And I'm hoping THIS is book arrival day. What's more it's supposed to rain the rest of the week.

Hmmm - how to combat book mush. *thinking*

I'll leave a note on the front door to deliver to the back door.

I'll take the barbeque cover off and leave it on the porch.

I'll leave a note on the back door to please cover any packages

I'll come home at lunch - just to be sure.

I'll hope if they come the delivery person will read notes

Now it would have been a much better idea to have them delivered to work, but I didn't have anything with me with my work address. In a effort to unload the purse before I left, I took out just about everything I could. And that included every scrap piece of paper.
I hope they arrive and stay dry.

'til later

If the weather is, or is about to be, wet, my UPS guy leaves shipments in a large, transparent garbage bag.

If only he was about six inches taller, I might be tempted to "tip" him, if ya know what I mean.

The previous post wasn't supposed to be anonymous, but apparently it's too early for me to successfully do more than breathe in and out.

Sorry. It was posted by me.

We have a covered porch, thank goodness. What about your neighbor that sometimes gets your packages? Can they be on the lookout for you? I'd bet they'd be sure the boxes are covered.

Good luck. My fingers are crossed for you.

I don't blame you for being anxious. I would be a nervous wreck. I'm sure they won't let them get wet because they would be responsible for the damage. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

We have a mutual friend (Deb - she said put Debra so you'll know who it is). Deb has told me you read a lot (so do I). It looks like we read a lot of the same authors. I'd like to meet some time to see about exchanging/borrowing books. Also would be nice to have someone to do 'other' things with eg movies, coffee etc (no ties)

Harmony - don't have a blog but Deb can always let me know if you are interested.

Harmony: Deb has mentioned a number of times that we should get together - both being lovers of romance and all :) We'll have to get her to have us both over for coffee at the same time :)

Mailyn: I've been thinking and planning since the Sunday I shipped them - and they didn't go out until the Monday! heh heh

Renee: Well now they are coming to the office instead - "but not until Thursday maybe" she whined.

Jodi: Well now I can welcome the rain. We really do need it. Although that will mean cutting grass again. It's been a pretty good 'don't have to cut grass' summer so far.

Rosie: I was thinking about asking the neighbours - but they are both retired now and pick up and go quite a bit so I wouldn't want them to have to stick around.

Gwen: Hey there!! And does he have the nice shorts to go along with the rest of the outfit? Actually the guy who picks up the paper for shredding in our office isn't to shabby :)
