They are up! They are up!

The poll results of the top 100 books are up at AAR. I think it's an excellent list although there are a number of mine that didn't make it, but I knew that going in :)

And of course I can't say anything further without pointing out and childishly so.......

DOY beat DIW - neener, neeener, neener.

OK childish moment over.

Yippy!!! I have read almost everyone of the those books and most of those books are on my list. Lord of Scoundels #1!
But I have a major gripe! WHERE THE HELL IS THE BRONZE HORSEMAN?????? grrr.....

Yes - Come to think of it I'm quite surprised that one didn't make it!! From all the discussions on it over the years, I was sure it would be on there! And then looking astoundingly at my own list - it wasn't on mine!!! How did I miss that?!?!?!

Blame your obsession with Richard and Derek ;)

Yes - they distracted me. Although as a distraction, they are pretty fine.

22 of my titles appeared on the Top 100 list. *g* Not bad, since I submitted only 50 titles.

Very happy that LOS is #1 yet again!

Kristie, HomePlace didn't make it this time. :(

I cannot believe that I haven't read Lord of Scoundrels and it's #1...will be purchasing that one. I've only read 60 of those books! I have my work cut out for me.

and fyi:
Derek 4 evah.

Lizbea: I'm pretty sure they are either re-releasing or will be re-releasing LOS very shortly. I fully plan on getting it when they do for 2 reasons - my copy is very battered and the old cover *to steal a phrase* sucks donkey balls.
OK - just checked. It will be out in December!

Jace: You matched 22? That is good. And *sad sigh* I didn't think Homeplace would make it on the top 100. We'll just have to get others to read it ourselves :) which would mean I have to read it again since it's been a while. I like that thought!

I actually had it in my hands at the Brockmann signing, but in my haste to get everything else done, forgot to pick it up. Amazon has it for 26.50. curses.

I saw DoY was second. I figured you must have rigged the poll somehow.....

Kristie (J) said...

Dev: No - no we didn't *g*. It's just that....... Derek is the best!

uh huh and I already said why that would be...

but it is nice you like it and you voted hon

Kristie (J) said...

Sybil *ackhem* There were how many who voted in the little mini-poll that Lizbea (I think it was you wasn't it) as opposed to how many voted in the AAR poll?
I believe that should Most Clearly indicate that there are more Cravenators than Sebastianators.

Sorry honey. I would place more importance on a poll of five than I would an AAR poll. Although I did notice that no where does it say how many total people voted or what measures they had to check for socks.

All of it is all in good fun, the diff from lisabea poll and AAR's poll is lisabea and her voters knew it was just fun.

::shrug:: but you go on with your badself cuz I know you understand it is just fun and games, not the end all be all. The amount of people that didn't vote I am sure is large and the reasons varied.

Hey if nothing else you helped them tally the books they can review to create a book you can buy of their opinions. So rock on.

Kristie, are you having a blonde moment? Because you put The Bronze Horseman at #42 on your list. Just thought I'd be helpful and point that out. LOL

Jane: I did? Well, as Christian Slater so ably put it when playing Will Scarlett in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves "well fuck me' So I did! OK then - I don't feel so responsible for it not being the top 100. Mind you - I should have graded it higher but as Katiebabs pointed out, I've been somewhat distracted lately. It wouldn't have been a blond moment though since I don't have a blond hair in my head, but it could have been a faux red head moment. Thank you for easing my conscious *g*

Nath: I tried resisting - and it was only there momentarily :)
