I'm Baaaccckkkk

I had a great nine days with my sisters! We spent part of the time at the gorgeous cabin, part of the time here at my place where we shopped 'til we dropped and part of the time at Lisa's in the country where we laid back, took it easy and I got a lot of reading done (so reviews coming up shortly)
Nancy headed back to her home in Massachusetts this morning. And while I had a great time it was a bit of a whirlwind. I didn't get much time at all to do anything computer/internet wise so I'm looking forward to getting back to a normal routine again. That means back to work tomorrow and oddly enough - I'm looking forward to it *g*.
But I ended the time off with a bang. Thanks to both Nath and Cindy for sending me a 20% off customer appreciation day coupon at Chapters!! I hadn't been book shopping in quite some time so I had to make up for it!

Today's purchases:

The Preacher's Daughter by Cheryl St. John
I've always loved her books. I don't think there is one I haven't read that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. And they are Westerns!

Into the Dark by Cindy Gerard
I've been quite enjoying this series and have been waiting for Dallas's story for a while now.

Love is All You Need by Lori Devoti
The cover and back blurb on this one appealed to me. And the price isn't too shabby - even though we pay $2 more in Canada

Shadow Hawk by Jill Shalvis
I've read and enjoyed quite a few of Jill's books so of course I had to add this one to the collection! And nope the cover didn't have anything to do with it. Not a thing. Really. Nothing. *wink*

To Love A Scoundrel by Kristina Cook
I have a couple of her other books in the TBR pile. This one goes along with that quirk I have of acquiring back lists without ever having read a single book by said author. At least the cover on this one is better than those odd covers of her first books.

The Highlander's Bride by Michele Sinclair and Lord Sin by Kalen Hughes.
These are my new author picks. The both looked interesting and the price couldn't be beat (even though once again *sigh* we pay $2 more)

I also wanted to get this one - If You Deceive by Kresley Cole but alas - they didn't have it in stock. I'll have to save it for another day

And another plug for Romantic Advances! They sure did make picking out books easy!

So now I think I'm going to take it easy for the rest of the night, catch up on missed sleep and plunge back into things tomorrow.

'til later

I'm reading the Jill Shalvis right now and it's really good. I've read so few category books that I've decided I need to experiment with a few. I think I definitely started with a good one!

Glad you had such a good time with your sisters. :)

Woohoo!! I missed you! Glad you had such a great time with your sisters and yes, sometimes our routine is exactly what we miss.

I swear I picked up 4 of the books you bought but put them back on the shelf. I also went shopping and posted my list. I'm not feeling done yet so I believe the ol' credit card is about to get a workout ;)

Hey Kristie :D let me know what you think of the book with the ice cream cone on (sorry, can't remember the title :P) I've been seeing it often at the bookstore, but haven't bought it yet :P

Thanks for buying my book! I'm so glad Walmart had it for you! What a depressing tale that the book section of your store has been reduced.

I had wanted to write Benjamin Chaney's story for a long time. The time and the woman were finally right to make it happen. I do hope you enjoy it.
