Quick background - Jayne of Dear Author (I keep wanting to type Dear Arthur - funny that because he's not really - to me that is. I'm sure he is to Lisa) has a review of Mistress of Willowvale by Patricia Veryan. In the comments Renee and I carried on and discussed the covers of Dedicated Villian
For Renee
This one is gorgeous!!!
Don't like this one
But I sure am glad we didn't get this one!!!!!!! (ROTFL)
And in other news - speaking of favourite authors. I have a new campaign and you can all help.
Just drop over to Nocturnal Wonderings and tell Cindy to "Read One Summer first"
I need everyone to help me now.
'til later
You can tell I took my silly pill.

See... I told you it was beautiful. In fact all the hardbacks had beautiful covers as I recall. Much better than the PB cover. Wow, what is that ugly thing (cover #3)? He has a mustache? eewwww.
You are too funny (about arthur instead of author)! I need me some of those little pills.
Yes, I told Cindy that One Summer was a keeper :).
BTW, thanks for posting such a nice big image. I may steal it.
Renee: Her hardcover covers are gorgeous aren't they. I was so (and still am) so nutty about her books, once I discovered them I bought them in both. I have HC copies of
Poor Splendid Wings
Some Brief Folly
Lanterns
The Noblest Frailty
Married Past Redemption
A Shadow's Bliss
Ask Me No Questions
Had We Never Loved
Never Doubt I Loved
And
Mandarin of Mayfair (talk about your gorgeous cover!)
Sadly - at the moment my scanner is out of commision but as soon as I get it back working again, I'll scan and post them.
And feel free to steal it - since that's what I did :) I don't have that one in HC - only the not so nice PB.
Oh that first cover sure is pretty!
Mailyn: Isn't it just though?? Wait 'til I get the scan back on line (somehow I 'broke' a port or something), then you can see some of her other ones too.
That cover is pretty, thanks for sharing. The others are kind of scary, yikes.
Oh Lordy I love the German one. Is she biting his hand? That is so bizarre.
Devon: it looks like she is doesn't it - thus giving rise to the expression 'biting the hand that feeds you'
Kris: she really does have great covers on some of her books. Others not so good, but mostly good!
