Suggestion by Cindy

She came up with a great idea!!! In light of all the bloggers who are doing the books they read in the top 100 poll, she suggested a top 20 meme of our all time favourites. But there's a catch. They have to be 20 different authors. I did 20 but then realized I needed 25. So, it's Cindy's idea, but I'm first *g*

Here goes my top 25. These are all books I've read at least 3 times, some more than that.

1. Dreaming of You, Lisa Kleypas (surprise)
2. Lord of Scoundrels, Loretta Chase
3. Ride the Fire, Pamela Clare
4. Whispers of Heaven, Candice Proctor
5. To Die For, Linda Howard
6. Morning Glory, Lavryle Spencer
7. One Summer, Karen Robards
8. Take a Chance on Me, Susan Donovan
9. Conor's Way, Laura Lee Guhrke
10. Joe's Wife, Cheryl St. John
11. Outlaw Hearts, Rosanne Bittner
12. Thunder and Roses, Mary Jo Putney
13. Naked in Death, JD Robb
14. Crazy Cool, Tara Janzen
15. Heart Throb, Suzanne Brockman
16. Fallen From Grace, Laura Leone
17. Absolute Trouble, Michel Jerrot
18. Lips That Touch Mine, Wendy Lindstrom
19. Love Alters Not, Patricia Veryan
20. Jackson Rule, Dinah McCall
21. Once a Pirate, Susan Grant
22. Sky Pirate, Justine Davis
23. See Jane Score, Rachel Gibson
24. The Warlord, Elizabeth Elliot
25. Hard Lovin' Man, Lorraine Heath

So there you have it. I know I could have added at least 10 more, but I think all these I've listed deserve to be on my list.

So - anyone else want to play Cindy's game? (lots more book ideas! Just like we all need *g*)

'til later

Oh yeah ~ more book ideas. I'm still trying to get through the TRR list (quite different than the AAR list). Of course, libarything is down (again) so I can't add anything to my wishlists.

I'll have to really think about this ~ there are so many good books out there. Hopefully I'll post on this at my blog later (after I've thought about it for awhile)........

Devonna: The one at TRR is also very interesting and I've looked at it too. The problem with that one though is it's quite out of date. It doesn't say when it was done but I don't think it's been updated since before 2000. That leaves off a lot of pretty good books that have been written since then :( I just checked and I think about 9 of my top 25 were written after that list came out.

OMG!! You so rock! I was going to do this tonight but my tummy had a meltdown and I ended up taking a *cough* 3 hour nap.

There are titles on you list that I need to put on the TBB list.

Hey, if you can come up with more titles then go for it! I was worried that I would run out of authors so I limited it to twenty.

Still, can you imagine my list with only one Anne Stuart book? I think it's going to be dicey ;)

Cindy: I was thinking of problem with the Anne Stuart limit :) I had the same problem with Linda Howard :) There are at least 2 more I could very easily add!

Hehehe, I knew DoY would be on the top of your list! Is it romance books only or can we do all books?

I wanna play, I wanna play.

This seems more achievable than the AAR 100 -- I felt so depressed when I ran through that list and realised that, except for jane Eyer, P&P, and those by JQ, Kleypas, Hunter, Garwood, Judith Ivory, Mcnaught and Gabaldon, I haven't read any of the rest.

Mailyn - I'd say any books that fall into the top 25 category would work! I read mostly romance but I know a lot of other read all kinds of genres.

Ag - it's an opportunity isn't it to show that yes! you have read a lot of books.

I finished my list finally ~ it only took me two days. And I had to cheat just a little bit.

I added some of your list to my reading list.

As Cindy said, more books to get/ buy.

oh yes, kristie, to showing off. but I also had great fun coming up with the list. In fact, it brought back so much fond memores, I'm going to track them down to read again.
