And another winnah!

Casee guessed the book - After the Night by Linda Howard.
Congrats to you Casee!!

I love this book to pieces. In fact I think it's the standard by which I judge all her books. She's come 'oh so very close' with a couple, the Blair/Wyatt books in particular, but none has quite caught my fancy like ATN. I think it's the washroom scene that does it.

Here are the rest of the clues

5. She has loved him for years

6. He hates getting his hair cut

7. She takes a big chance and moves back to her home town

8. He is not happy about it but can’t resist her

9. She is looking for clues to a mystery that happened years ago between her mother and his father

I figure just about everyone would have guessed it by then.

I'll have a new book to guess and a new book to give away starting Monday

Casee, if you email me your address, I'll get it in the mail to you in the next couple of days.

'til later

I love After the Night! And, yeah, she's come close a time or two but she hasn't surpassed it. I agree, it's gotta be because of the scene in the ladies' room at the courthouse. ;-) Funny and hot? Perfect!

Congrats, Casee! I haven't read this one yet, but it sounds great. I'll have to hunt it down soon, now that it seems I've gotten my reading mojo back (in bits and pieces)

Congrats Casee and this was definitively one of the best LH :P There's just something about Gray and Faith... The scene when they were in the diner and he told she had to marry him because of the baby LOL :P

Zeek: Yea the porch scene is pretty darn hot isn't it? Another one of my favourite scenes too ;). And I think one of the reasons why Gray being almost over the top alpha works so well is that Faith can stand up to him and it makes her seem stronger that she does.

Nath: They just smoke up the pages don't they? I love them together. Another favourite scene is when she says he doesn't speak French to her when they are 'busy' and he says he can barely think let alone concentrate enough to speak French.

Ames: I think that's one of my top scenes of any scene, any book of every book I've read.

Dev: Oh you REALLY REALLY Have to read this one!! It is a classic!

C2: I know the MacKenzie books are a lot of peoples favourites, but to me it's After the Night. She combines humour, hotness and great characters Perfectly in this one for me. I have a top 3 books and I can't decide the order - but this is one of them!!! (the other two are Chases's Lord of Scoundrels and Lisa Kleypas' Dreaming of You.)

Julia: *g* I think you might be confused. Casee is the winner so I'm thinking she's read After the Night. Dev hasn't - yet - but I'm hoping she gives it a try :) The book I'm giving away is Ice Blue.

And Casee - I still need to hear from you. My email is under my profile.
