Death Angel Book Cover and Synposis

This is one sexy cover. :)
Remember the date of June 24th because that is when Linda Howard's next release comes out!

Synopsis:
A striking beauty with a taste for diamonds and dangerous men, Drea Rousseau was once content to be arm candy for Rafael Salinas, a notorious crime lord. Seeing that a break with Rafael is coming, Drea makes a fateful decision and a desperate move to escape, stealing a mountain of cash from the malicious killer. Though Drea runs, Salinas knows she can't hide - and dispatches a cold-blooded assassin in hot pursuit. Left for dead, Drea miraculously returns to the realm of the living a changed woman. Both humbled and thrilled with this unexpected second chance, Drea embraces her new life. But in order to feel safe and sound, and stop nervously looking over her shoulder, she will need to take down those who marked her for death. Joining forces with the FBI, Drea finds herself working with the most dangerous man she's ever known, yet the closer they get to danger, the more intense their feelings for each other become, and the more Drea realizes that the cost of her new life may BE her life, as well as her heart.

Looks like a juicy read! *G*

I love reading about flawed characters and Drea sounds plenty flawed. Got my fingers crossed on this one.

Now Lisa are you looking at the calendar for this release or perhaps another one?

Hmmm, eitehr Drea is not Drea or hopefully Linda Howard goes there and makes a bad girl the good girl. Could be interesting... I actually kind of hope she's writing another Blair Mallory book.

Misty G: I love her Blair books also. We definitely need a third one. I love how she drives Wyatt crazy.

Ummm, yummy! Dang it! And I'd pretty much decided I wasn't gonna buy Linda Howard in HC anymore. And now I'm not sure how to hold off.

I wondered if she might write Siana's story (Blair's sister), she seems primed for a story.

Oooh! Sounds like it could be good. My only problem is that when I hear the name Drea, all I can think of is the actress from The Sopranos. Ironic that this character is connected to organized crime...

It's a sexy cover, and a great title.

Hi Katie, Now where did you find the summary for this book? Trying to find any information on Linda Howard's new releases is like trying to get water from a turnip. What is the deal with that? I know it's Linda Howard and she is a HUGE name in the industry but doesn't she know it's good to have information available! Sorry for the rant...must.calm.down.

jill - IIRC, Linda Howard had some sort of a threat to her physical being a few years ago and made the decision not to have any kind of presence on the web. At least, that's what I'd heard.

But you're right, I'm always thrilled when I stumble upon some tidbit about her since she doesn't have a website.

Jill D: I will search for you but I think it may have been on the Random House website...

Fantastic Fiction had the synopsis:

MK: I heard the same. What a shame. :(

This is just so scary. What is this world coming to?

On a side note, You would think that they would at least have the synopsis of the book at the Random House website, but they don't. It seems strange to me because if you are promoting the book, then you would want to let people know what it is about. Over at Barnes and Noble, you can preorder it but still there is no synopsis.

Katie, I usually go to Fantasic Fiction for old authors who don't have a website when I want to see if certain books should be read in order or just for a backlist. I never thought to go there for new release information. Thanks for the info!
