We had a horrific experience at the emergency department of the hospital on Tuesday. After waiting 14 hours for Ron to be admitted, they said they didn't know when a bed would be available. They said there were 12 other people waiting ahead of us. I decided to no longer wait there and brought him home. It took another 3 hours for a doctor to allow us to leave. They had done tests and he has blood clots in his leg and lungs. The cancer has also spread to his liver. They called the next day for me to bring him back but also said there was now a waiting list of 18 people and only two beds had opened up since I left.
I will be doing everything I can from home now, but I don't have the time, the energy or the heart for blogging right now. He is bedridden now and in very bad shape.
Although I'm going to miss terribly blogging and all of you, I just can't. I've still been reading everyone's blogs when I get a chance and enjoying them - the romance readers ring that Dylan and Fiona have set up is a wonderful idea and I want to join - when I'm up to it, but I probably won't be commenting much. But I'm still with everyone in spirit.
I'll be back when I can.

Oh Kristie - I was thinking of you both yesterday and wondering how things had turned out. I can't believe that you were treated this way. I'm not proud to be Canadian today.
Take your time and God Bless you both.
I'll just be one of many waiting with open arms when you feel up to coming back. No pressure.

Dear Kristie, it's perfectly understandable that you don't have the hear to blog for awhile. Take care of Ron and spend as much time as possible with him. If you need any help or any support, don't hesitate to contact us.
With you in spirit. Thoughts and prayers are with you always.
Love and Hugs, Tara

Sending out (((HuGS))) and Prayers to you.
It is such a shame to see that the problems we are having with hospital-bed shortage on the East Coast is a national thing. Something really must be done.
I hope you have support through such a difficult time! I too am very sorry that you have to go through something so difficult.
Kristie,
You and Ron are always in my prayers!!!

Dear Kristie, your experience sounds like something we would live here...in the 3rd world!!!
I'm so sorry you are living this difficult time. Poor Ron must be suffering terrible, how awful! And you, potidyab, no wonder you need a break from futilities like bloggin!
Come back when you can, we'll be waiting...
Kristie ~ You and Ron and in my thoughts and prayers. Don't worry about the trivial stuff. You just take care of what you need to take care of right now, which is your family. The internet stuff, although fun, isn't nearly as important as your time with Ron.
Devonna
((Kristie)) We'll be here for you whenever you need us. Thinking of you,

Oh Kristie...sending lots of hugs your way.
Kristie, I came by tonite to see how things are with you. Oh, honey...if words could only tell you how much you are in my thoughts and prayers. Do you remember the poster from the 60s-70s of the little kitten dangling with the caption, "When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on!" Well, this is one of those times...but so many of us are holding you close in our hearts. Take care, and God bless.
Kristie:
Thanks for sharing. I hope you and Ron get the help and treatment you need.
My thoughts are with you both.
Megan
Kristie--I'm so sorry you're going through all this! My thoughts are with you and your family.
I'll miss reading your posts, but we all understand and will be waiting for you whenever you can get back to it.
I'v ebeen traeted horribly in a certain hospital where I live in NY. So bad, in fact, I literally ran out with the IV hanging out of my arm when I was told by a nurse I was going to 'rot here in pain' until she decided I'd suffered enough.
My heart is with you.
Our prayers are with you and your family.
I'm so sorry Kristie. I'm so very, very sorry.
My thoughts are with you and your family. (((HUGS)))
My prayers are with you (((Hugs)))). I know I don't know you but have been reading here for a while. Thought this would be a good time to send you hope and hugs.
Kristie, I am so sorry. Love and best wishes to get you through this difficult time; as well as many, many {{{{{hugs}}}}}.
