I first saw this video a while ago at Smart Bitches. I was enchanted from the get go and although I hadn't seen that many of the movies, I still loved it.
Since then I've seen a few - North and South being among them (heh heh)
It's my mission to track down and see every one of them - well except for Tess of the D'ubervilles because I saw that one and it made me cry - in a sad way.
But this one is wonderful.
Enjoy
And as a bonus - free with no extra cost to you the reader, is another fun one

Okay, I think I've seen most of these ones. I think I saw a few glimpses of Matthew Rhys ~ I'll need to track down whatever movie it is that he's in, definitely.
I think I recognise most of them! But which one is it with the guy with looooon hair? 4:05m has one scene with him. ? Anyone? Anyone?
Uhm, could we list all the movies? I would love to see more of them.
Obviously North and South, Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice (BBC and Hollywood) but after that I have no clue and I saw the guy from Eli Stone in there somewhere and he is a romantic hero then I MUST see it ;)
Kristie, you are a bad influence - I think I need more youtube!

I went to the 4-05 mark and I recognized the actor as the gay brother in Brothers and Sisters but again, I don't know the movie. Maybe checking with the IMBD under the actors name and then looking at his previous films. Huh. On that note

Okay, cause I'm trying to avoid anxiety I went to IMDB and Mathew Rhys is at the 4-05 and looks like he did a TV movie call Beau Brummell: This Charming Man and he is Lord Byron.
Figured out another movie was The Importance of Being Ernest (didn't care for the movie)

I am glad I am not the only one who needs a list Cindy...because I could only pick a few of them!
For those interested, someone asked the same question when SB's posted it and here is the list of movies in the first video:
- The Abduction Club
- Daniel Deronda
- Emma (tv-1997)
- Emma (1996)
- Ever After
- The phantom of the opera
- Jane Eyre (2006)
- Mansfield Park (1999)
- Mansfield Park (itv 2007)
- Northanger Abbey (itv 2007)
- Little Women (1995)
- North and South (BBC-2004)
- Pride and Prejudice (BBC-1995)
- Pride and Prejudice (2005)
- Persuasion (itv 2007)
- Sense and Sensibility
- Tess of the D’Urverbilles
- Under the Greenwood Tree
I imagine the second one has a lot of the same movies.
Thanks Kristie!
I do love period dramas. The music in the first video was superb, so cheery!
Karen: Doesn't it just make you smile? I tell you - they make such great period movies on your little Island!!
Marg: Your welcome. I counted and I've seen 7 or 8 of them. That means I have more to watch - I like that!
Cindy: LOL - YouTube is a wonderful thing - also a very scary thing. I could - and have - spent hours looking up different things
Ana: I don't know the one at 4:05. I looked but didn't recognize it :(
Dev: You've seen more than me :) There are a couple there that I really want to see - at least based on the short little clips.
Ooooooo - I LOVED this!
Jodi - Aren't they beautiful? I've seen a few of the movies and it looks like a I have a few more to check out :)
