I was looking around for future romance releases on Amazon. (yes, I have a love/hate relationship with the site that doesn't like my book reviews) and found new author- Meredith Duran. She has a book coming out in April called The Duke of Shadows.
Description:
Heartsick of scandal, betrayed by the one man who should have stood by her, Emmaline Martin has no interest in courting trouble. But when violence seizes the British colonies, she must turn for help to the one man whom she should not trust, but cannot resist: Julian Sinclair, the dark and dazzling heir to the Duke of Auburn.
In London, they toast Sinclair with champagne. In India, they call him a traitor. When Emma's life falls into his hands, Julian cannot imagine the lengths he will go to keep her safe -- or how love itself will become their greatest danger.
A lifetime later, in a cold London spring, Emma and Julian will finally confront the truth: no matter how hard one tries to deny it, some pasts cannot be disowned . . . and some passions may never die.

Are there any new authors I should keep an eye on in the next 6 months? I am always looking for the next best thing. :)
PS- Yet another half face naked chest cover! What a trend this has become. Look at that belly button. Snort.

Seton: That is some cover for Broken Wing! Yoh ho ho!
Looks like an interesting pirate romance. Sexy pirates ahoy :)
The setting, "waning days of Cromwell" looks great. I'd buy it for that and hope it was more than a wallpaper historical!
Jane A.
katie(babs) you crack me up *chuckle*
Personally, I like the belly button, particularly when it accompanies such a nice set of abs and pecs *grin*
Azteclady: Why I just noticed his little happy trail under his button. Hmmmmm. :)
I've heard about this one and was very intrigued. And that is one Very Noticeable BB isn't it? Half inny - half outy.
What's with this font lately on the book covers..huh.
And where's the top of his head? I mean, sure, the parts we need are showing, but I'm curious.
Kristie: I do love a good BB. :)
Lisabea: Maybe it is better we don't see his face. Some of those cover models have great bodies, but sometimes their face just needs to have a paper bag over it.
Maybe they get cheaper models when they don't have to show the face. And it gives guys who have pig noses or facial tattoos a chance to break into the modeling business.
Oh, by the way, I don't know why I am so compelled by this premise, but I am. Has anybody actually read the book?
You do know - don't you - it just dawned on me that I'm pretty sure that's Nathan Kamp's belly button.
Kristie: How do you know it is his BB? Are you hiding something from us?
I actually went to a Romantic Times event a few years ago and saw him in the flesh. He has become the new Fabio.
