Well - I meant to get back yesterday but I was overtaken by a wild urge to clean and I've learned through the years not to ignore those urges because I very seldom have them. So I had to go with the flow. Then I got caught up watching a CSI: Crime Scene Investigation marathon and well - before you know it, I'd wasted most of the night.
So today was going to be my Recent Read post. But then I wasn't in the mood and once again I got caught up in the television. *sigh* Tonight it was America's Got Talent.
And I don't know about anyone else, but sometimes I'll pick up a book to read and get to a certain part, put the book down and it just seems to disappear on me. I've had that happen so often - very annoying. I'd been reading The Stranger by Elizabeth Lane and was part-way through when once more I lost it. One of my many book piles fell over this morning and low and behold - there it was. So now that AGT is over, I think I'll just read for a while.

i hate losing books! LOL
I've gone out and purchased the same book when I can't find it. I've usually left it some where like a restaurant or movie theater...don't ask. Glad you found that one. Can't wait to hear your take. Wendy and I have a teeny tiny disagreement about it. :)
I so know what you mean about going with the cleaning flow once it hits. It's 4:45 in the morning here and I'm waiting for the sun to come up so I can start cleaning the house without waking the family or neighbors. An urge like this doesn't hit very often--LOL
Once again "The wait, it'll show up" method worked :)
I'm sorry I have been MIA but I wasn't feeling well and I am sorry that you went through a really rough time. I wish I would have been here to try and cheer you up.
Losing books can be a problem. LOL.
Mailyn: Not to worry. We all go through bad times and I'm coming out on the other side of this. I'm glad your starting to feel better though.
Tara: I just wished it had worked with the camera though. What a time for my theory NOT to work *sigh*
Rosie: I've done that before too :) I probably would have gotten a second copy of this one if I went to long without finding it. The worst is when you haven't finished it yet!
Ames: Me too!! You would think with a collection the size of mine, I could let it go when some go missing, but there is still at least a box full in the house somewhere I haven't found yet and I think I know what every book that is missing is.
A whole box of missing books? I would go absolutely bonkers looking for it!
Ames: Well - I'm applying my theory. As long as I don't look too hard, it's not really lost. It and my babies inside, will turn up when it's meant to. And it's not as though I don't have a book or two or several hundred that I can read until it shows up.
That's true.
Now that I recall-I lost a box of books when I moved back to Canada from Germany. It wasn't until we moved-a year later-to our current house that I found it. Go figure. :P
