Hey Kristie, I think you have the comments disabled on the post below. Anyway, I think the actor is called Michael Praed, and he played Robin of Sherwood. I don't actually think it's a movie, I'm pretty sure it was a Brit series.

I remember him best as Prince Michael of Moldavia in Dynasty!

Yup - Karen's right. That's Michael Praed and he did play Robin in a British series. I remember seeing it on PBS years ago (I don't remember the title...and it was probably something really hard to remember like "Robin Hood"). I liked it! :o)

He was in Dynasty?! I had no idea. LOL

Karen: I don't know how the heck I disabled comments or how to able them again *sigh*. I did a bit of investigating - thank the stars for google *g* and yes - it appears to be an English television series from England that ran in the 80's- you lucky ducks you and no wonder I loved the 80's! It seems there were two different actors who played Robin. I'm still trying to figure out how to order them. There are some available on Amazon - but I want the whole damn thing!! Looks to me like it will beat Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner all to hell! And they also mentioned music - which seems to be some Gaelic music which I adore. So I need to get it - not only for the times, the long haired Robin Hood but also the music.
By the way I'm writing this with a very potent beer that really hit the spot under my belt which I drank as a reward after cutting the very large lawn.

C2 - You saw it???? *whimpering in envy* Well - hopefully with some luck I can say the same thing soon!!!!!!

Music was from Enya.

Much more traditional than the more recent TV series which had The Most PC Ever Robin Hood, who was morally opposed to bow-violence. By the end of the series the girls and I were rooting for Marion to make off with the much more gorgeous Guy of Guisborne.

Marianne McA: *really whimpering now* Enya too? She is my all time favourite!! I have every single CD she has! And I'm constantly hoping she goes on tour somewhere near me!! I also have many of her songs on my I Pod. If I didn't NEED it before - I REALLY NEED it now!
And also - Welcome to my blog!!

Yep, do you remember when the whole family went to Moldavia for Amanda's royal wedding, and got caught up in the bombings etc? He was the guy getting ready to marry Amanda. I have no idea how I remember these things but I do. *g*

And Kristie, I think he may be in his late forties, early fifties, so I don't think he could be considered jail-bait!

Karen - lol - just the right age then heh heh! I've already watched it about 7 or 8 times! I'm in heavy duty lust - and it's not just the beer talking!

Hey Kristie, allmyfavoriteshows.com has the 3 season dvd set of Robin of Sherwood available at a discounted price. Jason Connery (son of sean connery) played the second Robin in the latter part of the series.

the show first aired back in 1986, so Michael Praed is well beyond jail bait :)

Having said Enya, I thought afterwards it was probably actually Clannad. (And I checked, and it was.)
But I think she was in Clannad at the time...

Marianne McA: I didn't know she was in Clannad! Although I don't know that much about them. I do have some of their songs on various artist CD's though. And I love the ones I have.

Kez: Welcome to you too!! I must admit now to a bit of confusion. It seems there were two Robins - one of whom was played by Jason Connery (son of Sean) and the other by Michael Praed. It looks like the first one was blond and Jason? But it's the second Robin I'm in lust with - the dark haired one on the YouTube video.

Actually, Michael was the first "Robin" and Jason Connery took over when he left. I LOVED that show --especially the first season. I'm not sure if it's on DVD in the States, but I know it can be ordered from England because a friend of mine did that a few years back. (It cost her quite a bit of money, though!)

Hey Kristie, if you do have comments disabled, you can re-enable them through the "Post options" link in your post. Go in and Edit your post and in the bottom left hand corner is a link that says "Post Options" if you click it, it opens up to let you enable or diable comments as well as change the date of your post. :)

Lori: I fixed it. Thanks! Do't know what I did, but if I do it again, I'll know how to correct it :)

Karen W: First off, welcome to you too! For those who favoured the first one then - that much have been rather disappointing. And *wince* don't tell me they killed off the first Robin. Not even once having seen the show, I shall be devastated!
