I said no more book buying until I read the 5 books I listed, but I gotta tell you it's starting to get pretty hard. I'm going through the beginnings of book withdrawal. It's especially hard since it's the beginning of the month when all the new books are coming out. I can say Thank Goodness I already had Mine 'til Midnight. But still there are a few books coming out or are already out that I'm whimpering over. What if they're all gone by the time I finish the fifth book?!?!?!
This is tough I tell you.
So far I've read one and a half so I still have a ways to go before I can buy more. But I'll just have to suck it up. I'm determined to do this!!
'til later

ooh, I totally gotta get Mine Till Midnight now that you so kindly reminded me that it was Cam's story. I wonder if I have any random Borders coupons lying around... Want me to pick something up for you? ;-)
Sula: There are plenty I would LIKE you to pick up for me *g* but I will remain strong! I WILL do this! When I look at my 3, 1/2 book cases full of TBR's, when I look in the drawers of the plastic cabinets full of TBR's, when I look in the night stand full of TBR's and when I look in the 2 tubs full of TBR's - I will remain committed to this - I think.
You can do it, Kristie! I think I've bought up almost everything I was dying for, so now I get to just read :)
LOL :) if they're all gone by the time you finished your list of books, you order them online :D or hunt at the UBS or go to different bookstores :D You can do it Kristie!! Go!
Ugh. I'm laying a similar challenge before myself. But I have an additional incentive - next spring we're putting our house on the market and we're moving cross country. I *must* get a bit tough with my TBR pile and even more sadly, my boxes of keepers. I'm not sure I can read 5 books before I buy Mine Till Midnight, though...

Hang in there Kristie! My problem right now is that I'm not putting a dent in my TBR because of library books and ARCs I've gotten. Bad Wendy! I need to get on a reading roll here and start making some progress.
Oh, and Then Came You arrived in the mail yesterday. Muchos gracias amiga!
Wendy: You're most welcome :) And Cindy gets some thanks too since she had an extra copy. I'll be curious to see how you like this one compared to DOY. I have a feeling you'll like it better since Lily is a very strong character.
Jane: This doesn't mean you have to get rid of some does it? I don't know if I could do that - get rid of my books. It would be very painful!
Nath: That's my consolation - that I can order them on-line :) It's tough though. I drove by Chapter tonight and I couldn't look at it. But the pull was very strong.
Lori: I have all the September books I wanted - but not allowing myself to buy Octobers - until probably November at the speed I'm reading. And then Novembers not until December - and so on and so on. I'll explode if I look to far down the line :(
You can do it Kristie! I keep thinking about how I have to read 20 books before the end of the year and I'm not stressing over it. I haven't even started one book and time is flying by!
You're doing great - just think what it'll be like to buy November AND Decembers books all at once!
I picked up Mine Till Midnight to look at it but Kleypas has been hit or miss with me lately. Since there was nothing else in the store I put it back on the shelf. I'll wait for your thoughts before I buy in.
Heck, I have a ton of books we bought in Toronto that I'm sure I haven't even cracked yet. I really do need to get a move on!

Kristie,
I am getting rid of some books, much to my husbands approval. But what he doesn't know is that the only keepers I'm letting out the door are ones I can buy in ebook format. You can bet I'm making sure he knows what a sacrifice I'm making!! LOL
Now if I could only find Mine Til Midnight as an ebook...

Cindy: You should have gone with your first thoughts on Mine Till Midnight and got it! 'Tis a good one - one of her better ones. And a gypsy hero - yummers!
Jane: Heh heh! Good thinking. Let the hubby know you are making a sacrifice and then have him owing you. And many of them don't seem to really get how important our books are to us do they? I mean they aren't just books - they're BOOKS!!
