Does this ever happen to anyone else?

I started reading Crazy Wild and put it down somewhere last night. Now for the life of my I can't remember where I put it and do you think I can find it???? And I was right at a good part too!
I do this all the time and it just gets so annoying after a while. Bad enough when it's a so-so book, but when it's a good one - grrr.

Oh well, I'll have to read Lover Eternal until it shows up.

'til later

*update*

Found it! It was under a pillow. Of course I didn't spot it until I'd already read a few pages of Lover Eternal - enough to get me hooked.
And I have started the next book for the March TBR Challenge (of which I didn't *wink* sign up)
And Surrender should be in either today or tomorrow I'm hoping.

Sigh

Oh, that happens to me all the time! I still have a book "missing" here but I think it's really a suggestion that I read the first 2 books in the trilogy before reading book 3. I have a feeling as soon as I read them, book 3 will pop out of whatever hiding place it's in. LOL

It's happened to me once, but I blame the cat. I think during the night he decided to have a little fun with the tassle on my bookmark and ended up knocking the book off and behind the desk. Otherwise I usually only misplace a book I'm reading if I'm staying at someone elses house or on vacation.

I'm forever misplacing books, my glasses, my booklight (flashlight), sunglasses, the list goes on and on. I've gotten better about the keys as I hang them up as soon as I come in.

So, are you still reading Lover Eternal--what do you think?? I finished it this morning.

Erm, I can't say I ever misplace any of my books Kristie *g*

By the way, I bought LK's book Dreaming of You, yesterday, so far so good, but I tell ya, I'm coming to find you if it doesn't live up to the hype. Seriously.

Oh, man, I do that all the time and then I tear the house apart. But I find it later in the car or sitting on top the washing machine or someplace weird. That or my keys.

I read up to five books at the same time, and I am constantly losing one or more. I find them draped over the banister, tucked next the the coffee pot, on top of the washing machine, and sometimes, ever so rarely, on my bedside table.

I figure that if I lose it long enough and never quite get back to it, then it didn't really hold my interest. However, somehow this doesn't qualify as deciding not to finish it, because that would be a DECISION I would feel terribly guilty about.

This way, it all just falls off my radar screen and I move on.

Whew! Glad I'm not the only one. They're never missing for long when I'm reading them - just enought to make me nuts - like I said, not for long.

And Karen - I'd be scarred (scared - I'm always getting those two mixed up) but I just KNOW you will at least like it *grin*)

Oh and Tara - Lover Eternal won out - for today. Tomorrow it might be back to Crazy Kisses. So hard, so very hard to choose.

1. If one more person caves on reading Dreaming of You, I'm going to have a coronary - you're all out to make me look bad!

2. Bob has said that my keys should be on a rope around my neck. Sad part, I agree. Last week they were missing for 4 days - good thing I was sleeping during the day and wasn't going out!

3. Just finished Lover Eternal *sigh*. I'll blog about it. Here's the question though, I only ever come across a really great read a couple of times a year. I know I have Dreaming of You in the TBR pile. Other than that, I don't know of any other great, great reads that'll be there. I'm freaking out! Course, the great book blues might be settling in.

And, because I am a moron.

It's not so much me that can be the problem when books go missing. Sometimes Bob can't help but pick up a few and place them in the library.

I get super anxious when this happens so it doesn't happen often. There's a general household search that happens and then a call to Bob if he is at work where I yell about where he could have put the book and he's all 'I didn't touch it!' but I'm too far gone and don't believe it....

Okay, TMI
