I seem to have lots of space down the sides here on the blog and with time on my hands, in a effort to fill it up with .......something, I thought of bad covers on one side and good covers on the other. I struck pay dirt for the bad side with this one.
They don't make them like this any more.......Thank Goodness!!

(helpless giggle)

They forgot to mention his smushed nose.
And who the heck writes this stuff anyway?

I love Old School back cover copy. It's SO over the top!
On one hand, I like that she has short hair. On the other, judging by her make-up, she was car-jacked by a pack of circus clowns.
And what is up with his hair? Is it frosted?!
*laughing* He must have had a home colour treatment from the makers of Toni hair products. And it's the 80's bandanna that cracks me up on her. I bet somehow she's wearing leg warmers too.
With stuff like this, I can see why romance WAS made fun of - heck, us romance readers have quite the jolly time mocking it ourselves don't we?

I do love Marsha Canham's pirates - even with the bad cover and bad blurb. On the other hand, she also has one of the best pirate book covers ever for Across a Moonlit Sea.
C2 - Oh I love Marsha Canham's books too!! And although I haven't read The Wind and the Sea (smirk) I have read some of her other pirate books and loved 'em - all her books in fact. Though I think I'd have to say my favourite book of hers is actually a medieval - My Forever Love.
Orannia: They both are very funny aren't they? Gave me quite a laugh it did when I stumbled across it.
You would think since she has short hair his would be longer. Did they have mullets back then? I think he should have a mullet. That would complete the coverfail. :D
Leslie: *chuckle* Yes you would think so wouldn't you? And I'm pretty sure they had mullets back then. I think it was the big hair days of the 80's.
