Just being curious

I'm in the middle of about 3 books so no reviews at the moment so while wondering what I could blog about, I was listening to Dr. Joy Brown yesterday and she was reading some studies on what women prefer as to hair on men. Interestingly, the majority of women preferred some facial hair on guys. The thought being that it makes them seem to be more 'manly' men. Now if they had asked me, I would have been in that group. I think stubble on a guy is very sexy. Let's face it - those among us who watched Lost didn't do at least a small swoon for Sawyer even if you were a Jack fan????

And how about beards? It's harder for me to appreciate beards, but - it can be done - and done very well if you check out the picture on the right here *dreamy sigh*

So - what about you? Does facial hair on a guy work for you? What kind do you like best? I have a poll going, but if you want to further comment, please *g* go ahead

Men without hair - cringe!!!

Dh currently has a beard. He grows one regularly through the winter and it does make him look his age - although at 45 still hasn't a white hair :( b/c I have enough for 2 of us - but it's kept short, and shaped around his jaw. So, more along the lines of soft stubble, not those long, gross things...

Framwifetwo: Ron often had a mustache and while in principal I don't really care for them, I have to admit I liked him better with one than without.
And the key to a good beard *g* is to keep it short so sounds like your DH has it right.

My DH is clean shaven, but he has a heavy beard, if he didn't shave every day, it grows quickly. Funny, on our first date he had been skiing for a week and hadn't shaved that whole time and I must say...*sigh* I really liked it.

Can I just say, I think David Beckham is the sexiest athelete out there? During the World Cup when he was standing along the sidelines? OMG! He was so drop dead handsome! I showed my DH this picture of him, and also another of Brett Favre (who I think he resembles a bit) and my DH wondered, how is it these guys always have the perpetual "scruff" look down so perfectly - all the time. He decided they must shave before they go to bed. What do you think? LOL!

In my thinking, stubble-cuts are ridiculous; they're like the lately fashionable "shorts" that hang below the knees, neither one nor the other. My wife wouldn't recognize me without the beard, I don't think, and in some moments, is quite appreciative of it. Besides, some people's skin (like mine) is of the kind that shaving causes inflammation.

Definitely enjoy some scruff on a dude! Not a big fan of the Jeremiah Johnson, mountain man look, but I definitely don't mind some scruff!

I voted for stubble and goatees... I think that all looks can be very attractive... but if I was dating someone, I'd prefer if he'd be clean-shaven :P

You know, I like mustaches on older men... I think it softens them and make them look nicer :P

I'm not a facial hair fan...AT ALL! Stubble may look kind of cute, but not when you get a dry shave :) As for beards...nope!
