WOW - and a fascinating discovery

A huge thank you to KarenS who said if she, who is weblogistically challenged could change her blog look, anyone could and then warned me to copy and paste. Anyone reading this has no idea how scared I was when I hit that change button. My palms were sweating and my heart was beating faster.
I love the new look - NO MORE PINK. I am so not a pink person.

Next step in the bold leap forward - another attempt at pictures. And look!!!!! I did it.
Wow!!!

Since JD Robb went to hardcover I've been depressed. I'm not about to start buying hardcover halfway through the series, but I simply could not wait for the paperback. I had an idea. Why not try the library. Our library system bites the big one as far as romance books go but since the In Death aren't considered romance, they would probably have them. So I went and got a library card - haven't had one of those in over 20 years. They are plastic now. I then put a hold on Survivor in Death. This was way back in February. I was 79th in line. Well it finally came in today so I stopped to pick it up. It was truly an unusual feeling to walk out of there with a book in my hands that I didn't pay for. I'm going to have to do this again. I'm 57 on the list for Origin in Death.

Congratulations--nice new look. I've been thinking about changing, but fear of losing everything keeps me from trying.

As Karen said, it's real easy. Just go to templates, then new and pick one you like. I just wish they had more choices although the one I picked I like very much. Just make sure you copy everything you have customized on the side bar, links, favourites etc. I just copied them on a word doc and them pasted them in where they went before. Everything else just copied over. And believe me, I was terrified too.

I have Origin in Death on hold too, but I'm just number 9 and they're buying 5 or more copies.

It's not that I don't like pink :) but I'm more of a blue/green kind of person.

I love the look, too. I like pink, but am more of a green person, too. Plus pink is so obvious for a romance fan. That and making arch comments about chocolate. I read my first Robb/Roberts a few weeks ago, got it from the library (also placed it on hold).

So! Proud! And you got the pictures to work!

As long as you copy everything into a word document first, you should feel free to try things out. There are lots of sites out there that offer free templates. My favorites Blogfrocks and MizDos dont seem to be making new templates but they have a lot to choose from.

Okay, now I'm going to go back and actually read the post. I was so excited I came here first!

Yay!!!! Fab look Kristie!! You'll find yourself feeling tempted to keep changing the layout now!!

BTW, it may be me, but your font seems smaller now... I was struggling to read this entry

Hi Kristie!

Had to return the visit *grin*
Love the new look... very mellow and soothing.

I've been wanting to do something new, but I have to keep the pink.. it's in the name :)

The green looks great, I like it much better than the pink. Congratulations on taking the plunge! ;-)

I'm always terrified whenever I change anything biggish, so I always keep a version of my template saved as a txt file.

It actually saved me once... an update went terribly wrong (I think when I clicked on "save changes" the process got interrupted, or something) and I suddenly had only half the template, so it wouldn't load at all. So I just copied and pasted from my little txt file and voilĂ ! Problem fixed!
