And I'm back - again!

I’m home.  A lovely time was had by all though there was a bit of drama.  Of course with nine women that’s hard to avoid.  But I wasn’t involved being the easy going kind of gal I am and I myself had a wonderful time.  It rained quite hard one morning so we watched The Longest Ride with hello – Scott Eastwood and they were all suitably impressed and want bull riding cowboys of their own.  I didn’t get nearly as much reading done as I’d planned, I only managed to read 2 books but since I had a good time, I was fine with that.

The weather was mostly good.  Even the mornings it rained, it cleared up by the afternoon.  The only downside for most of us was the bugs.  We all became great meals for the mosquitos and black flies.  It was so bad we couldn’t sit out and have a campfire

in the evenings.  Not even clothes kept those blood
suckers off us!

I did manage to hire myself someone though while there.  One of the Pelee islanders (as we call ourselves) has a son, 15 ½ and he’s looking to earn some extra money.  As I just had new siding put on the outside of the house, I need some cleaning up to do so it will work out perfectly.  If all goes right, I can add some before and after pics here.  Fingers crossed

I do have a bunch of reviews to do, but alas, work is keeping me from doing them and since my home computer still doesn’t work, I see staying after regular working hours in my future.

Isn't it ever so much better?  I LOVE the colour of blue.  So now I have the rest of the yard to fix up and now I have someone to help.  WIN/WIN!

Well, time for me to scaddadle.  I'll be back soon.

'til later

Welcome back! *clings*

I'm so happy you had a good, fun time of it. Happier yet that you are back.

Wow, the house looks amazing! It feels so good to get projects like that done. :)

AL, that was the last of my planned vacation. I still have about 2 weeks left I think, I get 4 weeks vacation a year and I carried over a week for RWA, but nothing planned really. So no more long absences.

Nicole, thanks! It looks amazing. I've needed to do something for a number of years now and I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out. But now the yard itself looks pretty shabby which is why in a couple of weeks I'll be even more happy *grin*

I really like your new siding! The house looks great!

My family was telling me how awful the mosquitos have been this year. As in, do not leave the house without bug spray - or else you'll be very sorry. Gotta say, besides winters, that's another thing about home I do not miss.
