Yes, I did it again. I went on a spending spree. I bought these ones at Chapters the other day.
Highland Warrior by Monica McCarty
Highland Outlaw by Monica McCarty
I have her books from her last series and quite enjoyed the one I read.
Never Deceive A Duke by Liz Carlyle
I have the books after this one - but really - what is a series without the first one I ask you?
~~~~~*****~~~~~
And then yesterday I put in my latest order at Chapters. In order to get free shipping, you have to order $35 worth of books. I *cough* kind of went over that
Giving Chase, Taking Chase, Chased, Making Chase
All by Lauren Dane. I saw how much Jessica enjoyed these and decided that I had to have them.
OK - Maybe she only reviewed the one - but she liked the other ones she read!!
Smooth Talking Stranger by Lisa Kleypas
This is the one I've really been waiting for!
Practice Makes Perfect by Julie James
Nope - this one still hasn't shown up in the stores yet. I couldn't wait any longer.
The Lady and the Libertine by Bonnie Vanak
I really enjoy her books and a lot of Dorchester books don't show up for months - if at all - so I wasn't taking any chances on NOT getting this one.
Lord Ruin by Carolyn Jewel
And I stopped at a UBS on the way home yesterday and found this gem!! I have Scandal still to read, but I was real excited to see this one!!
And speaking of Jessica of Racy Romance Reviews - um - If anyone is interested, I've been interviewed at Jessica's Racy Romance Reviews today
You know what I want? I want to visit you for a *mumble* days so I can help you organize your books.
[dibs on any duplicates ;-) ]
AL - You'd have to stay for at least a week because they are all SO unorganized. For a while I kind of had a handle on it but since then things have EXPLODED!! One of these days I'm going to have to take pictures and everyone will think - OMG she's run AMUCK!
Only one week? *sad puppy face*
*sigh*
Okay, then, since you don't want me there...
;-)
*g* well - if you don't mind while I go out and earn money to feed my addiction - and my cat - you could stay for weeks - many plural. I have a nice comfy chair, a stereo system and my collection of ships in the 'library'. A person could go down there and never want to leave :-)
Perfect! :grin:
Hi Kristie!
OMG--Next time the hubs gives me the evil eye for purchasing a few books that I just have to have, I'm going to show him your haul...WAY TO GO!!!
I just love those days that are bookstore days!
Now, your reading schedule should encompass the entire next two months, that's if you don't stop to eat or sleep!
Way to go Kristie!
Dottie :)
Hey Kristie... when in a "funky" mood... go shopping!!! And whatelse would you shop for... books of course!!
How funny--I just reread all the Chase books by Lauren Dane the other night. (Yeah, I know, I stay up too late.) They are really good--I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
I think that's a great haul...and I might have to take your idea and run with it!
Enjoy your preties :)
Awesome haul!
I really enjoyed "Never Deceive a Duke" - although I think it's the SECOND in the series. I'm pretty sure "Never Lie to a Lady" is first, but it's early in the morning and I'm tired so I could very well be wrong, *lol*
Lord Ruin by Carolyn Jewel
I'm jealous! Is this oop?
Great haul Kristie!!
Enjoy the books :D
Looks like you picked up some good ones. I'm taking a trip to Chapters tomorrow. Happy dance!
You too!! I've been suffering from the shopping bug too.
It just creeps up on you and suddenly you have this crazy desire to buy books. *sigh*
Great list though!
Happy Reading,
VampFanGirl
Dottie: LOL!! I think it more likely that I would terrify your husband. Ron used to give me grief too - but then eventually he bowed to the inevitable and started buying me gift certificates to Chapters
Cecile: Nothing cheers me up better than a bunch of books - yet scares me at the same time
Collete: Aw good!! Another endorsement. Although they were sitting in my shopping cart until Smooth Talking Stranger and The Lady and the Libertine were both available to order - they were kind of an impulse buy. I've never read any of her books before and then I went and ordered the whole series. I figured it would save me frustration if I did that. I did the same thing when I got Lisa Marie Rice's books and was glad that I did :)
Orannia: Oh, I will, I will *g*. I love just looking at them - and that doesn't even count reading 'em.
AnimeJune: Really?? Well Dang!! Now I'll have to track that one down. Well - at least I have books to read in the meantime - heh heh heh heh.
Casee: I'm not sure if it's OOP or not - but it was written in 2002 and Chapters says it's unavailable to order - so I think it's probably a hard to find one. I think it was her first book so the fact that I found a copy - in good condition - at the
UBS was a nice find!!
Nath: *gleeful grin* I think so too :)
Seneca: Hopefully you will find some good ones! And hopefully they will be on the shelves. It's annoying when the MM books aren't because they are only 9% off online with the Avid Reader card as opposed to 10% off in the store.
VampFanGirl: It's a funny thing how it always hits hardest around the first couple of weeks of each month - odd that *wink*
