over at Access Romance. We were asked to highlight a favourite book. And guess which one I chose :-) What's good about this is another chance to win a copy!!
I left a comment over there yesterday, but Wordpress hates me and ate it. I'm in the middle of reading this because of your enthusiasm. I have to say, though, I'm just not lovin' it. I think Gabriel is well-written and as a lover of Regency historicals I do like the unusual plot and setting. But there's too much telling instead of showing and the time jumps are awkwardly done. I promise to finish it, but one of my all time favorites? Sorry, not gonna' happen. :-)
Phyl: I think all of us are 'touched' by different books. And it's perfectly OK if a book that touches me doesn't touch another reader. But for some reason *g* this one really touched me. I don't know exactly what it was - it was just exactly about this story - but it just hit me - and right betwwen the eyes. Even though it's not 'getting' to you as much as it did me - I hope it's still a good read for you - even if it's only for Gabriel :)
Stacy: I know everyone isn't going to feel the same as some - but for those who do feel it - isn't it a fabulous book??????
Barbara: Thanks *grinning* It's getting tough to come up with something different each time to convey just how much I love this book.
I just love your enthusiasm for this book Kristie :) And I truly appreciate the rec.
