I was really starting to feel out of the loop with so many people raving about the two versions of P&P and me never having seen it.

C2: I'll let you know what I think of the CA book when I read it. Hopefully it will be better!

Ag: I planned on seeing it at the show but just didn't make it there. And now it's so nice having my own copy of it :) And I will let you know what I think of CAI - I just started reading it.

Rosie: it does make a great "cold winter day" movie doesn't it?

Kaitin: LOL - there are a few movies I've seen at the theatre 3 or more times too. I think POTC I I saw three times - and of course LOTR - each one. Amd MM did indeed make a hot Mr. Darcy. I've never seen him in anything before but I'll be keeping my eyes open now :)Kristie (J)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15743921647882733738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10897259.post-1162090583152326952006-10-28T22:56:00.000-04:002006-10-28T22:56:00.000-04:00I loved that version of P&P, too--Matthew MacFayde...I loved that version of P&P, too--Matthew MacFayden made a great, totally different, Darcy.

Glad you bought it, I bought it the day it came out 'cause I'm a geek like that.Megan Framptonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17196738392230684978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10897259.post-1162071445925729312006-10-28T17:37:00.000-04:002006-10-28T17:37:00.000-04:00Ohhhh...I didn't want to mention CF either. But since you said so, I'll agree! ;-) Not that I don't love me some CF...but MM might have been a better Mr. Darcy, I'm thinking.

Same with me on Cherry Adair...I hadn't stopped reading her but I had been disappointed with her last few books. That's when you know you're in trouble. You either leave depressed or you overcompensate :) I usually overcompensate. In fact probably a good deal of my TBR books are compensation books.

C2: He was very fine. I'd say better than CF but then I would get pelted by all the CF fans :) so I won't say it. And to be fair I haven't seen him in the mini-series so if I did, I might fall for him just as hard too. As for Cherry Adair, I read her first two and then didn't read her for a while, but this series sounds intriguing.Kristie (J)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15743921647882733738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10897259.post-1161997406139313872006-10-27T21:03:00.000-04:002006-10-27T21:03:00.000-04:00I just watched this version of P&P too! I'm glad I finally got around to watching it.
And hot covers - yep some of em are. And the hottest one is the one I put back *sigh*

Meljean: it was lovely. The scene I liked the best is when he came striding out of the fog. I swooned at that part *swoon thinking about it*

Devonna: I'm glad I bought it. I'm becoming as bad at returning movies as I am at books. That's why I don't like librarys. They want them back!!!! And I don't want to give them back. If I'd rented this movie I wouldn't have wanted to give it back either.

Jodie: Yep - I don't think it will be a chore watching this one again :) Maybe tonight

Jennie: He did make a might fine Mr. Darcy didn't he?
